A website everyone can actually use.
Keyboard instead of mouse, screen readers, strong contrast: for a lot of people that is not a nice-to-have, it is the only way they can use your site at all. I build websites that account for this from the start, instead of bolting it on expensively later.
SINCE JUNE 2025
The BFSG now applies to you too
Since 28 June 2025, a lot of digital products in Germany have to be accessible. Whether it actually applies to you depends on your company size and what you offer, and there are real exemptions. I will tell you honestly if you are affected instead of scaring you into it, and then we just build it properly.
WHAT I BUILD
What accessible means in practice
Every function works fully from the keyboard, with a focus ring you can see on any background. Text and buttons have enough contrast (at least 4.5:1). Images get meaningful alt text, not a filename. Buttons and touch targets are big enough to actually hit. Forms are properly labelled and say clearly when something is missing. And if someone has set „reduce motion” in their system, they get no wobbling animations.
If you already have a site, I take a look, tell you where the real barriers are, and clear them out. No audit PDF gathering dust, just code that works afterwards.
THIS SITE
And my own?
I build this very site by the same rules I apply for you: keyboard navigation, a visible focus, enough contrast, „reduce motion” is respected. I am not promising you a perfect score, accessibility is never quite finished, and saying otherwise would be dishonest. But it is built in from the start, and I test it automatically on every build.
Not sure your site already does this? Drop me a line, I will take a look and tell you honestly where you stand.
